The Safe Cosmetics and Personal Care Products Act of 2013 introduced on March 21, 2013 in the USA. It was designed to give the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authority to ensure that personal care products are free of harmful ingredients. Usually, an Act is a response to a problem that demands government action. Did you know that your cosmetics may have harmful ingredients? During pregnancy, studies have shown that fetal exposure to some toxins can have long term effects as the child grows up. These can be breast cancer, prostate cancer, obesity, infertility, and others. Dr. Sachar has taken it upon himself to create non-toxic makeup products for pregnant women.

Babies are born with over 200+ known toxins in their blood. But how did they get them? Mothers are exposed to toxins in the air, from food, makeup, skin products and these get transmitted to the baby. It is known that some of these exposures build up in the baby over time and may be associated with obesity, cancer, infertility, among others. Dr. Sachar has created his line of non-toxic makeup products for pregnant women so that they may actively decrease the toxin burden that the fetus is exposed to.

Dr. Sachar is a double board-certified obstetrician/Gynecologist and High Risk Pregnancy Specialist. He recognized that the current global increases in cancer, obesity may have origins from toxic exposure while the mother is pregnant. The baby gets exposed to these toxins from the mother, and they are not eliminated, and over time they may cause medical problems. Dr. Sachar created this line of safe non-toxic makeup for pregnant women to give them a choice for safe cosmetics in pregnancy.

"I wanted to bring my medical expertise and merge it with the beauty industry to create the only product line in the world addressing the beauty needs of pregnant women" says Dr. Sachar.

Dr. Sachar's line will be available this summer at www.VSACHARMD.com, he is also on Facebook at www.facebook.com/VSACHARMD, and you can follow him on twitter @VSACHARMD.

"Our website will be a forum for all pregnant women, with shopping for non-toxic makeup products, a video learning channel that will discuss all the medical issues in pregnancy, and an area where women can read about pregnancy related issues, and communicate with each other socially."

Dr. Sachar completed his fellowship at the prestigious University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. He is the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at his current hospital. He is also regularly recruited for his expertise in Quality Assurance in Medicine.
