Rosemont Support Olympic Hopeful Diver

Rosemont Pharmaceuticals has just announced a sponsorship agreement with world top-10 diver Rebecca Gallantree.

Leeds (I-Newswire) May 26, 2012 - Rosemont Pharmaceuticals has just announced a sponsorship agreement with world top-10 diver Rebecca Gallantree, who has high hopes of qualifying for the 2012 GB Olympic diving team.

Rebecca will be writing a regular blog spot on the Rosemont website detailing her quest for Olympic success.Leeds-based Rebecca says: ‘The profile of diving has rocketed in recent years and we get a lot more media coverage than we used to. I'm thrilled that Rosemont have decidedto support me as this means I can totally focus on training for Olympic selection and then hopefully, help win medals in July for Team GB.’

27 year old Rebecca is a world top-10 diver from the 3-metre Springboard. She trains for 30 hours a week, 50 weeks of the year. She competed at her first Olympic Games in Beijing finishing in 25th place in the 3m Springboard. She has since gone on to gain a gold medal at the 2009 British Championships in Sheffield in the 3m Springboard as well as winning three golds at the 2010 British Gas National Cup.

Rebecca wanted to be a diver from a very young age and her first senior international was at the FINA Grand Prix in Madrid in 2004. Rebecca has earned Great Britain an individual Olympic place in the springboard, but will herself have to qualify for the GB Olympic team at the British Championships in Sheffield in June.
