Ronetix, the Austrian supplier of high-performance JTAG/BDM/SWD devlopment tools, launched today new PEEDI support for Xilinx Zynq familiy.

Currently the company's power embedded debug interface (PEEDI) supports a wide range of processor architectures including ARM, Cortex, XScale, Freescale Nexus enabled Qoriwa, ColdFire, Blackfin, MIPS32 and AVR32. With the introduction of support for Xilinx Zynq family RONETIX provides customers with increased effectiveness in Flash programming and high speed GNU gdb debugging, expanded multicore support for up to 4 cores, and additional choice for evaluating leading processor architectures.

More specifically the PEEDI can be used with any GNU gdb based debugger Eclipse, without any additional software, which makes PEEDI host operating system independent.

Additionally PEEDI supports programming of over 1000 NOR Flash chips, NAND Flash, SPI and I2C FLASH/EEPROM and can work in standalone mode.

Furthermore the PEEDI supports several flash profiles, which enables the programming of a complete Linux system at once: U-BOOT, Linux Kernel and JFFS2/YAFFS/UBIFS root file system.

RONETIX's Embedded solution is targeted for all phases of the development and is extensible for customers to easily firmware update for additional device architectures and processors.

PEEDI Highlights:

- Multi core support - up to 4 cores
- Built-in support for gdb
- Very high real download speed - up to 1.25 Mbytes/s
- 5 kHz - 33MHz JTAG/BDM clock using 35cm standard cable
- Automatic measuring and compensating of delays in the JTAG signals
- Target Voltage 1.2V - 5V
- Built-in telnet command line interface
- Built-in very fast Flash programmer that supports over 900 Flash devices
