ROK Technologies' Esri License To Benefit Customers Worldwide; Launches New Division; Company's Proven Track Record Earns International Attention
ROK Technologies, Inc. (ROK) is bringing a whole new level of service to its customers, who rely on ROK to host their online mapping systems.
Online, June 7, 2011 (Newswire.com) - ROK is launching a new division, ROK Global Applications Group, which will be dedicated to delivering ArcGIS Server hosting and cloud services for clients who do not license the software themselves. The established technology firm is an ESRI-licensed Application Service Provider (ASP) for ArcGIS Server software.
Founded in 1997, ROK Technologies, Inc. has developed a solid reputation as a full service Internet and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications development company. ROK has specialized in ESRI's product line for the desktop and Internet/Intranet environments. Its new ASP designation allows ROK to save its on-line mapping clients thousands of dollars in software, hardware, personnel and related resources.
ROK previously provided ArcGIS Server hosting for numerous public and private organizations in the Southeastern United States. "This ASP designation allows us to provide superior support anywhere," says Michael Murphy, ROK's President. "Our first two ASP hosting clients are located in Italy and Egypt, and the level of service and support we provide is the same as if they were located next door," he said.
"I have been working with ROK technologies for about two years now, and I honestly could not be happier. You guys provide world class technology, yet I feel you guys are like a neighbor when working one on one. So all I have to say is THANK YOU." Raffi Alexanian, Managing Director, Digital Egypt, Hosting Client
To ensure around-the-clock support for its high speed hosting network, ROK has teamed with Immedion, South Carolina's first enterprise-class, dedicated data center services provider.
Immedion's world-class collocation facility is designed to keep its customers' tech infrastructure working at all times. The company maintains redundancy in all critical areas, protecting ROK's client data in the face of power outages, security interruptions and natural disasters.
