Rockwell Automation to Present at OSEA2012

Eric Fidler of Rockwell Automation to present on offshore technology and applied automation at Asia's top oil and gas industry event

Singapore (I-Newswire) November 22, 2012 - Rockwell Automation, the world's largest company dedicated to industrial automation and information, announced its Global Director of Oil and Gas Industry, Eric S. Fidler, will speak at the 19th International Oil and Gas Industry Exhibition and Conference (OSEA2012) on "Offshore Technology and Applied Automation: The Next Decade". With 30 years' experience in global exploration and production, Fidler is a sought-after speaker renowned for his strong applied controls expertise and strategic views on issues affecting the oil and gas industry.

"Pursuit of offshore reserves in the next decade will involve complex extraction methods and extensive use of subsea extraction technologies. Extraction of the next wave of reserves will require complex facilities both on the ocean floor, as well as in the form of more traditional surface production facilities," said Fidler. "Operational excellence and applied automation can help mitigate operational risks of propagating errors across subsystems through efficient secure design of automation systems."

Established in 1976, OSEA is Asia's most vital Oil and Gas event, where industry leaders from around the world gather to showcase Upstream and Downstream products, solutions and technologies. This forum is the preferred networking platform for industry and business professionals to discuss market sentiments and business strategies, as well as technical developments in exploration and production. At the exhibition, Rockwell Automation will showcase its PlantPAx process automation system that integrates information, control, power and safety to help redefine operational excellence and reduce risks for maximised productivity, reduced total cost of ownership, minimised lifecycle costs, increased safety and high levels of control and flexibility. The company will co-exhibit with Endress+Hauser, a global leader in the provision of measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering.
