Robert J. Ryan launches renderDC collection at Koi

(I-Newswire) February 17, 2010 - Calgary – Visual artist Robert J. Ryan kicks off the official launch of his renderDC collection with an artist reception at urban Cafe Koi.

As a celebrated artist specializing in commercial photography, graphic and fashion design, Ryan will introduce his fine art collection of photographic images, renderDC. The vibrant 10 piece collection of photographic works features images from around the globe and showcases the artist’s edgy style and innovative printing techniques.

The renderDC collection includes photographic art shot throughout North America, with an emphasis in Western Canada and the U.S. Ryan incorporates both modern and traditional print techniques to create his fine art, including the use of silkscreening mixed with giclée printing. It is through these techniques that he creates his unique, eye-popping designs.

“This is a great opportunity to officially launch my fine art collection in such a warm and inviting, urban environment,” says Ryan of his opening reception venue. “Koi is the perfect setting to display my collection, as the space has been created to promote Calgary’s local art scene.”

With a visual art career spanning 15 years, Ryan’s experience reaches across all areas of visual communications, including experience as principal designer for Pusch Clothing where he received international exposure. His designs and illustrations have also been displayed at Thomas Lynch Fashions, United Riders Clothing and Mee Sportswear, in addition to launching his successful photography and graphic design business, Renderd Concepts.
