River Palms Hosts Sold Out Charity Auction
The 2012 Silver Rider Auction, held at the River Palms Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, NV was a huge success, with net proceeds exceeding #30,000.
Online, November 14, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The River Palms Hotel and Casino was pleased to host the 6th annual Wine Tasting & Charity Silent Auction for Silver Rider Transit on Saturday, November, 3rd, 2012. Over 400 individuals attended the sold out annual event, held in the Grand Ballroom.
Proceeds from this event benefit Silver Rider's senior transportation program as well as its chemotherapy dialysis transportation program. Net proceeds from the event were over $31,000, setting a new record in fundraising proceeds for this annual event.
According to Debbie Dauenhauer, Executive Director of Silver Rider Transit, "If it weren't for the tremendous level of community support we receive, we would not be able to provide the level of transportation assistance we do for the seniors and those medically fragile. Silver Rider could not meet the demand for the door to door transportation."
