Responsible Surfing finished in 2nd place of Gulleggid Innovation contest of 122 business plans

(I-Newswire) May 31, 2009 - In March 2009 Responsible Surfing was awarded the silver prize in a contest held by Innovit [www.innovit.is]. Innovit is a privately run innovation and entrepreneurial center for ambitious people with good business ideas. Originally there were 122 business concepts presented for the competition. Responsible surfing received the second place after a lot of hard work which allowed the company to evolve its idea further and improve the knowledge within the company. This is the second year the competition is held and in these twelve months last year's winners have already created dozens of new jobs.
Responsible Surfing Silver idea is to create a solution for mobile phones with similar capabilities to its PC parental control software for homes, schools and businesses. The software is specially designed for parents of children with mobile phones. Today between 6 and 10% of internet users suffer from Internet Addiction and it is becoming the main reason for students dropping out of college. The mobile phone is fast becoming just as big of a problem and the service the company is designing is specially tailored to limit the usage of mobile phones while still retaining its benefits for the child thus preventing overuse. The service will also include a solution to prevent online bullying and monitor mobile phone usage.
After the companies silver prize at Innovit´s competition a lot of interest has been coming from investors and the company also took part in Seed Forum International [www.seedforum.org]. At Seed forum the company made a presentation to a number of investors about the company and its future plans.
