Representatives of SinoCorrugated South 2014 Attend MACCMA 25th Anniversary

Online, December 6, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The hosts of SinoCorrugated South 2014, Reed Exhibitions, sent a team to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on October 25 to participate in the Malaysian Corrugated Carton Manufacturers' Association (MACCMA) 25th anniversary celebrations. More than 600 guests from carton manufacturers, suppliers, trade associations and media attended the gala evening. The Hong Kong Corrugated Paper Manufacturers' Association (HKCPMA), the Taiwan Paper Industry Association (CTCCA), the Corrugated Box Manufacturers' Association of Singapore (CBMA) and the Indonesian Corrugated Cardboard Industries Association (PICCI) were also represented at the event.
SinoCorrugated South has become an increasingly well-known exhibition as Reed has stepped up promotion of the event worldwide. Frank Cheng, Chairman of the International Corrugated Case Association (ICCA), Simon Lo, Chairman of the Asian Corrugated Case Association (ACCA), Henry Low Sheong Boon, Chairman of MACCMA, Kinardo Ang, Chairman of the PICCI, and Stanley Koo Chau Ming, Chairman of CBMA, said they will support SinoCorrugated South 2014 and organize groups of high-level visitors to the show.
As the global economy starts to recover, so the needs of the corrugated packaging trade are rapidly rising. The ICCA predicts that the world's corrugated industry will sustain an annual growth rate of 3% from 2013 to 2016. Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam, is growing much faster than other areas - at a rate of about 6%.
SinoCorrugated South focuses on the great potential of the Southeast Asian market. The event serves to bring together industry professionals from China and Southeast Asia to promote international communication and sharing of technology and market information. In 2014, SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton will be collocated at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Dongguan from April 10 to April 12. Spanning 60,000 sqm, together the two shows will feature over 600 suppliers, 1,300+ pieces of corrugated and folding carton equipment and about 1,000 kinds of consumables. Over 26,000 visitors will attend the dual events, and more than 50 foreign and domestic industry associations will support the show by sending strong visiting delegations. The event promised to be a major showcase that will drive growth in the global corrugated and packaging industries.
