Renewable energy helps CIS to reduce the effects of the economic crisis

ZORG Ukraine conpany, region’s leading provider of biogas plants, proceeded with a number of renewed projects along with four new biogas plants being built in CIS.

(I-Newswire) September 15, 2010 - The company developed an engineering plan of a biogas plant in Glushkovo of the Kursky region (Russia) - construction works in Glushkovo are about to begin. The largest biogas plant in Russia will process 105 t of wastes and 105 t of corn silo per day. Its electric capacity reaches 2 megawatts, which is enough to cover needs of the agricultural complex.

Few month earlier, “ZORG Ukraine” signed new contracts for construction of biogas plants for a pig farm in Lipetsky region and a poultry farm in Voronezhsky region (Russia). Capacities of biogas plants are 600 kilowatts and 2 megawatts, respectively.

Three more projects are in process of development in Karasu, Kustanaisky region (Kazakhstan): biogas plants for a dairy farm and 2 animal farms. Kazakh company is paying for biogas plants on credit provided by EBRD. Once the construction of the first biogas plant is finished in October 2010, “ZORG Ukraine” will proceed with construction of two other biogas plants.

Construction works on biogas plant in Mitrofanovka of Kupryansky administrative area in Kharkivsky region of Ukraine are renewed. 100 kilowatt plant will function as the recycling facility of a newly build pig farm, producing 12 000 cattle heads per annum.

The company has developed an engineering plan of a biogas plant for alcohol plant in Tkhorivsk (Ukraine). At present moment, licenses necessary to start the construction works are being issued.

As company’s representatives stated, 20 more contracts are at stage of signing. As a result, company’s engineering department of its central office in Kiev has grown considerably. “ZORG Ukraine” is ready to handle doubled amount of projects.
