RE/MAX Realty Centre Named Top Brokerage in Region

Office Ranks at #1 in Olney, Md. and Clarksburg, Md.

Olney, Md. (I-Newswire) February 15, 2013 - In recognition of its outstanding achievements, RE/MAX Realty Centre has been named the 2012 Brokerage of the Year for the Central Atlantic Region. This brokerage was chosen among nearly 200 RE/MAX franchises.

Joe and Bette Buffington, and Joe Buffington II, Broker/Owners of RE/MAX Realty Centre, accepted their award Tuesday morning when headquarters staff surprised them during a monthly office meeting.

Exceeding the Expectations
Amid a downturn in the housing market, agents at RE/MAX Realty Centre increased their volume more than 20 percent over the past twelve months, averaging more than $3 million each in total sales volume for the year. Also in 2012, the RE/MAX network in its entirety was recognized as the highest-ranking real estate company in both Entrepreneur magazine’s “Franchise 500” and Franchise Times magazine’s “Top 200.”

An Office Invested in the Community
RE/MAX Realty Centre’s achievements go beyond just office productivity; they’re also reflected in its community involvement. The Olney location has a space dedicated to training agents, and it also doubles as a social meeting space for community meetings and gatherings. The Clarksburg location operates from a historical district where Joe and Bette cautiously erected a multi-business building while adhering to strict historic guidelines. And when the community asked them to open the building to other businesses, they welcomed a new restaurant that became a popular new social spot.

For the past five years, RE/MAX Realty Centre has partnered with the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital to host an annual golf tournament and silent auction.
