Rai Renea Announces Release Of New Spoken Word Video Tackling Mental Abuse

International, award-winning, spoken word entertainer and BET J Lyric Cafe performer, Rai Renea releases the video for her new single, Sticks and Stones which address the long-term effects of mental abuse.

Miami, Florida (I-Newswire) September 4, 2011 - Rai Renea, an international, award-winning spoken word entertainer, announced today the release of her new video for her new single, Sticks and Stones. This is from her CD, That Other Girl, which is scheduled for release in September 2011.

Rai Renea is a multi-talented artist of the spoken and written word. She has originated three other CD recordings (The Journey, Love Costs and Bedroom Stories) and two poetry books (In Your Face and Looks Can Be Deceiving) thus-far. Her work is described as the “mind-speak of love and angst of our present”. She delivers a pronounced oral message that is direct, profound, raw and evocative.

Rai Renea has entertained such noted celebrities as singer/actor, Tyrese, comedian Tony Rock, actor Malik Yoba, and former NBA star Alonzo Mourning. She has opened for renowned musical artists Digable Planets and Public Announcement. Additionally, Rai Renea has been featured on BET J (now Centrix) Lyric Cafe. She won the Best Hip-Hop Video Award in December, 2007 and third place at the International Just Plain Folks Awards for another single (At Midnight). Her single, Make Your Move, which is from the same CD, That Other Girl, was in the TOP 30, four times on ITUNES Chart for US Spoken Word.

The video for Sticks and Stones was produced by Eye Urban TV. Eye Urban is a multi-media company that offers productions services in addition to its’ own internet webcasting site. Sticks and Stones is a powerful, thought-provoking single that addresses the long term effects of mental abuse.
