Radcom, Inc., a Northeast Ohio consulting firm that provides custom learning solutions, has added to its staff of professionals to meet the business needs of growing companies in the area. Each new staff member has experience and expertise that adds value to Radcom's client base of medium to large companies in diverse industries such as construction, manufacturing, logistics, finance, healthcare, medical technology, and public service.

"It's gratifying to see that we have such talented people to draw from in the area to help us better serve our clients' very different learning needs," said Angie Dianetti, Vice President of Operations and co-owner. "Every project or staffing engagement requires some very specific skills in order to help our clients succeed."

New hires include Kevin Halaburda of Bay Village as a Senior Project Writer, Jo Ellen Frost of Hudson as a Project Writer, Suzi Hrubik of Akron as an Associate Writer, and Christy Esau of Lyndhurst as a Writing Assistant.

Halaburda was hired to head up projects for several area manufacturing firms. Halaburda actually started his career in technical communication at Radcom after graduating from Baldwin-Wallace with a BA in English. He worked for a variety of companies early in his career and said that, "When my former employers failed me, Radcom was always there with a project. I wish I had never left in '99!" As soon as he started at Radcom full-time, he says he was hooked. "Radcom is the only place I've worked where I really enjoy what I do, and I look forward to this every day!" He added that, "Radcom's writer-focused atmosphere offers a supportive environment with plenty of new challenges to keep me busy and engaged."

Frost, who was an IT Resource Management Specialist, Supervisor, and Trainer at FirstEnergy for many years, came to Radcom through Radcom's professional development courses. "After leaving FirstEnergy, I wanted to find out more about instructional design, technical communication, and online learning, especially new tools and techniques." Frost was an exceptional student and offered to work for Radcom as an intern. She was hired soon after completing the internship. "In the short time that Jo Ellen has been with us, she's learned more than most people do in their whole careers and contributed to many successful projects," said Jennifer Beaujon, Assistant Vice President of Operations. Frost earned her BS in Technical Education and AAS in Data Processing from The University of Akron.

Hrubik is a graduate of The University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master of arts in Instructional Technology. She taught computer education at a Catholic school and spent 12 years in the fields of technical support and Web design. As Radcom's newest Associate Writer she fulfills multiple roles including providing technical support, performing project work, and spending one day per week at a client site for a staffing engagement. She also serves as webmaster for the Radcom website and assists the marketing department by enhancing Radcom's social media presence and lending her skills in graphic design. .

Esau most recently worked at the Lubrizol Corporation as a part-time contractor working on technical
editing and reviewing courses. Christy's supervisors recommended her to Radcom as they wanted to make sure that she had a chance to develop her considerable talents. Christy earned her undergraduate degree in English from Notre Dame College with a minor in writing, and her master's degree in English from John Carroll University. Christy is excited to find a position in her field that allows her to learn the technical aspects of instructional design and technical communication. "Performing quality assurance on many projects at Radcom, since I've started I know more about how to write for diverse industries in two months than I learned in all of my years of school," Christy stated.
