Vancouver BC (I-Newswire) April 30, 2011 - Vancouver May 2, 2011 Quest For Glory Fighting Championships is a newly established mixed martial arts fight series located in Vancouver, Canada, with its first event scheduled for June 17, 2011.
The Quest For Glory team consists of Sammy Piccolo as president and matchmaker, Ben Mehdi as director of marketing and communications, and Nadine Spuls as CEO. The mission is clear: produce high-quality mixed martial arts shows and promote fair practice matches.
"We want to be a mix of Pride and K1 at there pinnacles," stated Ben Mehdi. "It's really important that our image is as a league of true martial artists, an organization of honor and authentic competition. We look forward to sharing our brand of MMA with fans across the world."
Quest For Glory FC announces the release of pre-sale tickets for their June 17th show at the Croatian Cultural Center. The card will feature 15 action packed bouts with 3 MMA titles and 1 Muay Thai title on the line, as featured below.
The main event of this card will feature two undefeated competitors in Oliver Vajda (5-0 Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Maple Ridge) and Walter Barrios (2-0 Infusion) competing for Vajda’s Bantam Weight Title.
A welterweight title is on the line between Shawn Pallan (Dragons den 2-0 in MMA and 3-1 Muay Thai) Chris Anderson (Vancouver Island 3-0 )
160lbs Muay Thai title bout between current title holder Joe Halfar (Poseners Pankreation 5-1) and Josh Write 3-1 (Dragon’s Den Elite)
West Coast BJJ’s undefeated Ryan Christopher (BC’s P4P #10) vs Brandon Shorter will compete for the 3rd MMA title of the evening in the 155lbs light-weight division.
The card will also feature two time former western Canadian Muay Thai champion and former BC Muay Thai champion Victor ‘The Dragon’ Wang (8-1 Muay Thai 3-1MMA) who will compete against undefeated Jake Lindell (4-0 Spokane CanUSA Fight Team) in a Canada versus USA MMA bout.
This event has been called “The Beginning” to reflect the start of the Quest For Glory Fighting Championships era.
A final main-card and the undercard are expected to be announced shortly.
