PSD To Drupal - Drupal Provides Online Services To Bristol City Council

Bristol City Council has sought assistance from the open source CMS, Drupal, so as to provide an enhanced and extended web experience to the local people of Bristol and the businesses.

According to an official statement released by the Bristol City Council recently, the council has decided to team up with a venture by the famous Capgemini Group, called Capgemini UK plc. The association of the council with one of the world's leading IT outsourcing and consulting service provider will assist the council to make a shift in their online services, by moving its platform from age -old open-source technology to the new generation of open-source CMS software, Drupal.

With a goal to provide the local masses and business organizations with an enhanced web experience so that they can keep an eye on the Governmental activities without any complications. The council has decided to build its new website on Drupal platform. Moreover over the years, the popularity of Drupal websites across the world has grown immensely amongst the people governing the country. Drupal as we know is preferred widely by the web developers since it helps them to carry out PSD to HTML conversions and PSD to Drupal quite effortlessly.

Sources says that the Council's alliance with Capgemini UK plc would not only help them to streamline and modify their web services, but the Drupal based website would be conducive in adding suppleness and liberty while including new web services, adding both comprehensive content and reciprocal transactional facilities .

Beckett also stated that the migration of the website from its previous technology to Drupal was an utmost necessity for the council in order to improve its customer services for the masses residing in Bristol with and without an internet access. The shift of the Council's website to Drupal, according to him, is also supported by some 7 local IT companies, which are currently involved in developing certain value additional services for the Council.

The Director for Local Government at Capgemini UK, Chris Riches, said in a report that this is their first ever long term association with the council.
