PerSys Medical is Now Offering a New Price for the 6" Emergency Bandage until September 30, 2011

Houston, TX (I-Newswire) August 12, 2011 - From the battlefields of Kosovo in the 1990’s to present day OEF (Operation Enduring Freedom), The Emergency Bandage has been a frontline, lifesaving, trauma bandage for soldiers the world over. Changes in battlefield wounds sparked the product’s revisions and improvements over the years, including the FCP-05 Emergency Bandage that features two pads for complete wound coverage.

From August 10 thru September 30, 2011 PerSys Medical will offer the FCP-05 Emergency Bandage (NSN# 6510-01-515-7528) at the promotional price of $5.50 per unit, a significant decrease from its MSRP price of $7.65. As one of three styles used as a standard in US and European military kits, the FCP-05 allows a caregiver the ability to amply cover both entry and exit wounds with ease while exerting needed pressure to stop bleeding.

“The idea for two pads came as a response to a need not addressed by standard bandages; sufficiently covering two wounds at the same time,” says Roy Bachrach of PerSys Medical. “We are grateful that the solution offered has truly filled a need and ultimately saving lives.”

The FCP-05 Emergency Bandage is a 6" wide, all-in-one bandage that consolidates multiple first-aid devices such as a primary dressing, pressure applicator, secondary dressing, and a foolproof closure bar to secure the bandage. The addition of the sliding pad is recommended for coverage of entry wounds (typically smaller than exit wounds) or can be used as wound packing in the absence of traditional gauze.

The Emergency Bandage (AKA The Israeli Bandage), the flagship product of Persys Medical is standard issue for the United States military and many law enforcement agencies nationwide. This bandage is credited with saving lives not only overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq, but also in the Tucson, Arizona shootings in 2010. The bandage was invented by a former IDF medic Bernard Bar-Natan and is manufactured by First Care Products.

PerSys Medical specializes in bringing life-saving innovations to federal and civilian medical markets including military, law enforcement, homeland security, EMS, and wilderness medicine agencies as well as worldwide government agencies. PerSys Medical has been active in the medical field since the mid 1990’s, responding to a growing demand for life-saving products. Aided by close relationships with medics, training facilities and decision makers, the company successfully markets several life-saving innovations which have become standards in the US military and other leading organizations.
