August is the month of Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna, known as the Stealer of Hearts. His many woman disciples~ known as gopinis ~ were ecstatic lovers of the Divine. Stories abound of the joyous times they spent with their Guru, dancing as he entranced their hearts with the flute-like melodies of devotion.
In this gathering of the mystics we will embody the spirit of the Gopis using meditation, movement, singing, and community to deepen our knowing of the true nature of our Beloved.
