After driving home from a late night bonfire, the driver of a Hyundai Sedan lost control of the car causing two men to flee from the back. Both are now being hospitalized for head trauma.

A DUI accident occurred early morning on Oct. 31 near the corner of Sahara Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard. A 19-year-old woman is now facing two counts of driver under the influence resulting in substantial bodily harm.

The reckless driver was taking her friends home after attending a bonfire in the desert just behind Las Vegas High School. Two young men, ages 18 and 19, were sitting in the trunk of the 2004 Hyundai Sedan.

The driver veered the truck when making a left turn onto Sahara. Both men in the trunk were thrown from the vehicle. One is in serious condition suffering from a head trauma. Oct. 31 is a school holiday for Clark County School District. Police believe the day off from school encouraged the gathering.
