Technology Heavyweight Matt Banham Joins mPayments Innovators Omlis as Chief Technology Officer

With Recent partnerships providing unhackable mPayments solutions in Latin America, global mPayments innovators Omlis appointed Matt Banham to lead all technology efforts as Chief Technology Officer.

Global mobile payments solutions provider Omlis is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Banham as Chief Technology Officer effective immediately. Mr. Banham joins Omlis to enhance and implement all strategic roadmap and architectural technology development initiatives. Matt will lead all technology efforts at Omlis ensuring that the business continues to deliver highly differentiated and scalable technology to all relevant markets.

As an experienced technologist, Mr. Banham brings over 19 years engineering solutions experience within the photonics, telecommunications, air traffic management, surveillance, embedded and safety critical software and energy industries. His senior management roles also saw Matt lead teams of up to 30 engineers on projects with a turnover of over £15 million.

Matt’s interest in coding started at the age of 8 where he wrote his first shape generator program in turtle-logo on the first BBC microcomputers. His passion for all things software engineered saw him deliver highly complex projects at Malvern Instruments, Progressive Energy, Altran, where he contributed to the wing design of the ground breaking Airbus A380, BAE Systems and Ebeni. Matt led the development of the world’s lowest loss hollow-core optical fibre, he led the development of Europe’s first full model of a pre-combustion, carbon sequestration power station and was instrumental in developing the world’s first operational, real-time, predictive air traffic control system.
