SMI introduces slim Natural Gaze™ design for mobile eye tracking glasses at major international conferences

SensoMotoric Instruments (SMI), eye tracking technology leader, introduces a new Natural Gaze™  design for the head gear of its leading wireless Eye Tracking Glasses (SMI ETG 2w) at Research & Results, Munich/Germany, October 22-23, HFES, Chicago/USA, Oct 27-31 and SfN, Washington/USA, Nov 15-19.

The new design provides even slimmer glasses that allow maximal peripheral and stereoscopic view by minimizing volume and weight of the SMI ETG 2w head gear. SMI Eye Tracking Glasses 2w now combine extreme mobility, ease of use and robustness to measure natural gaze in the widest range of real life applications from driver studies to human interaction.

The SMI Eye Tracking Glasses allow to handle extremely mobile use cases with a small smartphone recording unit, remote control and live annotations via Wi-Fi from a Windows device like a laptop or tablet. Very efficient and easy handling is achieved with the lightweight adjustment free “Natural Gaze”™ design and the unique zero- and one-point calibration of the SMI ETG2w.

Many specific modules such as mobile EEG and optical head tracking integration extend the range of applications. Snap-on corrective lenses enable people with vision impairments to naturally interact while their visual behaviour is recorded. For most efficient analysis, SMI offers the SGM fixation mapping technology. SMI’s mobile eye tracking platform has an SDK which supports real-time data streaming for integration into customers’ applications for analytics or interaction.
