Invents Introduces "Ice Away", Help Residents In Snow Country Remove White Stuff

New York, NY, October 23, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Anyone who lives in the colder climates knows that the most dreaded winter chore is shoveling snow! Imagine a way to complete this task not only more easily, but also in less time. A lightweight, sturdily built snow shovel, The Ice Away has integrated lighting and heating sources. It not only moves snow, like any good snow shovel, but it also melts it and provides light while doing so.
Similar to traditional high-quality and lightweight snow shovels, The Ice Away is unique in that it is also a battery-powered tool. The shaft contains a covered battery compartment with a slide-switch with 4 settings- “off”, “light”, “heat”, and “heat & light”. When set on the “light” switch, two strips of powerful LEDs along the sides of the shovel head, are activated to lit the path and working area. Importantly, this high visibility light can be seen by approaching motorist and others. In the “heat” mode, the shovel blade heats, softening and melting the snow and ice. In the “heat & light” mode, both the light and blade-heater are activated.
