Hilton San Diego/Del Mar Hosts Party to Kick Off Fall Race Season
The recently renovated Hilton property's event will adopt the races' 1920s theme and feature food, drinks and live music
Online, October 29, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Hilton San Diego/Del Mar announces Fall Race Opening Day Party to celebrate the first annual ‘Bing Crosby’ fall meet at the Del Mar Racetrack. The Hilton San Diego/Del Mar is inviting the public to kick off the fall season with a celebration on opening day, Friday, November 7th, starting at 4:30pm with food, drinks and live music.
The Hilton San Diego/Del Mar has recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation, funded by the property owners Wheelock Street Capital. The transformation includes an update to the hotel’s indoor and outdoor event space, and modern furniture with magenta accents in the lobby and all guest rooms. Also included in the renovation is the property’s restaurant and bar, coastalKitchen. The Fall Race Opening Day Party will offer attendees items off of the restaurant's hyper seasonal, fresh farm and sea menu.
The event will utilize the hotel’s 6,000 square-foot ballroom, upgraded with state-of-the-art equipment, as well as the outdoor pool area, weather permitting.
Located directly across from the Del Mar Racetrack, the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar is a premiere location for a party after a day at the track. Celebrating the ‘Bing Crosby’ theme of the race season, the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar will have live music from Trent Hancock, a local indie singer/songwriter.
Party guests can enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, a Mint Julep Creation Station, bottomless handcrafted cocktails, local craft beer and select wine.
Parking for the day’s races is included with the party ticket purchase and overnight parking is also available. A partnership with ridesharing company, Uber, is available for party guests to get home after the event. First-time Uber riders can enter the code “HILTONDELMAR” to receive $20 credit towards their first ride.
