Frank Orioli Joins Prism Capital Partners As SVP of Investments

• Newly created position responds to commercial real estate owner/operator's continued growth • 20-year industry veteran focused on sourcing new investment opportunities

Commercial real estate industry veteran Frank Orioli of Westfield, N.J., has joined Prism Capital Partners, LLC as senior vice president of investments. This newly created position responds to continued growth by the Bloomfield-based firm, a privately owned owner/operator focused on office, multifamily, industrial and retail properties in the New Jersey regional market.

With more than 20 years of investment and development experience, Orioli is working closely with Edwin Cohen and Gene Diaz, Prism’s principal partners, in sourcing new investments for the company. This includes identifying potential acquisitions, vetting these opportunities and, ultimately, orchestrating equity and debt placement.

"We have ramped up our acquisition activity significantly, and with so much going on we needed someone who, simply put, could pay attention to everything that needs attention. Frank is a perfect fit. He has an extensive network of relationships and a strong track record of assembling and executing large, complex transactions."

“We have ramped up our acquisition activity significantly, and with so much going on we needed someone who, simply put, could pay attention to everything that needs attention,” Cohen said. “Frank is a perfect fit. He has an extensive network of relationships and a strong track record of assembling and executing large, complex transactions.”

During his career, Orioli has been involved in the acquisition of approximately $4 billion in assets across property sectors. Most recently a consultant with FORE Consulting, he also has held senior management positions with major industry players including Rockwood Capital, Principal Global Investors and State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio.

Prism invests with institutional and private capital sources that rely on the firm’s ability to identify and realize the highest value potential in all sized real estate endeavors. To date, the 12-year-old company, with its capital partners, has invested more than $400 million in 15 projects. Last year, NAIOP New Jersey recognized Prism’s contributions by honoring the firm with its prestigious Impact Award.

“My move to Prism is well timed, in terms of where I am in my career and where Prism is in its growth,” Orioli noted. “The synergy is incredible – this is an exceptionally dynamic group. Ed and Gene have done great things, and I look forward to helping them further the company’s progress with an expanded capital base and even wider range of investment partners.”

Orioli earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in real estate investment and development from New York University. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the National Multifamily Housing Council.
