Premier American Bank To Be Rebranded As Florida Community Bank

Miami, FL (I-Newswire) July 19, 2011 - Premier American Bank announced today that effective Monday July 25, 2011 it will change its name to Florida Community Bank. Florida Community Bank (FCB) and Premier American Bank (PAB) were both purchased by their parent company Bond Street Holdings, Inc. in January 2010. Since then Bond Street Holdings has purchased five additional institutions, each of which are reopening under the Florida Community Bank Brand.
The decision to adapt the Florida Community Bank name was one that the Company considered for a long time before it was finalized. “Rebranding Premier American Bank as Florida Community Bank is an important milestone for our company” stated Kent Ellert, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank. “Premier American Bank was the first of our acquisitions and we are very sensitive to that; however, with a significant portion of Florida’s deposits being controlled by banks that are based out of state, retaining the Florida Community Bank name reinforces our commitment to building the best Florida Based, Florida Focused Bank.”
While the name of the bank is changing, little else will be affected by the rebranding. Customers will begin seeing the Florida Community Bank name and logo replace those of Premier American Bank, but there will not be any changes to products, services or customers’ accounts. “The branches and people you know will still be here, ready to put the strength of the Florida Community Bank brand to work for you” stated Ellert. “Our customers are now able to take advantage of our expanding Florida branch network which currently provides clients access to forty offices across the state.”
