HOLES AND HEARTS has signed with Los Angeles based Independent Record Label Mongrol Records and will release their self titled debut album "Holes and Hearts" on May 26, 2009. The full length debut will feature an ambitious14 tracks by the talented young rockers from Tampa, FL who have built a strong fan following with their powerful delivery and lyrical strengths to go along with their in your face live shows. "Holes and Hearts are on the verge of becoming a house hold name" said The Expressionist Magazine, "What's even more amazing about these two boys is their age. At 11 and 13, they perform on stage as if they are seasoned rock veterans".

Rave reviews of their live shows quickly created a buzz that generated interest in the two young brothers. Grammy nominated engineer/producer Frank "BLAME" Macek who has contributed to the albums of Ice Cube, Faith Hill, 2Pac, India.Arie, Tim McGraw, Leon Russell, Quincy Jones III and many more, agreed to sign on and produce the entire album. "I was blown away by the raw talent that I witnessed when I first watched them perform and I am inspired by their work ethic! They are truly gifted and I haven't been this excited in years about an artist" says Macek, "their future is beyond bright".

Holes and Hearts is an interesting name with a compelling story behind it. Riley was born with a large hole in his heart which was discovered at the age of 2 months and was taken for a life saving heart surgery immediately upon his diagnosis to temporarily repair the problem until he was old enough to have another major surgery. At 10 months old the Doctors decided it was time to try and fix the hole which required Open Heart Surgery. The Surgeons were not able to completely close the hole due to the size and location. Riley continues to see Cardiologists on a regular basis. "I'm broken, I'm open my hearts on the table" from the song "LIFESAVER" on the new album was written about Riley's experiences.

Charity shows and Benefits are a big part of who Holes and Hearts is as a band and they have played at many shows including A Hurricane Katrina Victim Fundraising Event, The Sarasota World Aids Day Benefit, Pizza Hut's World Hunger Concert, The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of AC/DC's Brian Johnson Music Therapy Room at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, Jammin' the Harbor Fundraiser for The Humane Society of Pinellas, United Way's Campfirepalooza and more. They are also the Official Spokes Band for the L.A. based charity ROCK AGAINST HOMELESSNESS.
