Congregational Church of West Medford to Hold Car Wash and Bake Sale to Benefit Mississippi River Flood Victims

Medford, Massachusetts (I-Newswire) June 12, 2011 - The Congregational Church of West Medford (United Church of Christ) is hosting a car wash and bake sale to benefit Mississipi River flood victims on Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 400 High Street, West Medford, and the entrance to the car was is on Allston Street across from the Brooks School.

It's a great way to treat dad while meeting the needs of folks struggling to recover from flooding.

With multiple natural disasters affecting our Commonwealth and country, the congregation has made special offerings to tornado victims in Mississippi, Missouri, and Western Massachusetts and is looking to help meet the needs of those affected by the massive flooding of the Mississipi river.

At the heart of the congregation's mission is a desire to meet the needs of neighbors near and far in tangible ways. Whether local, national, or international, through donations of money or emergency aid kits or by volunteering, the congregation seeks to faithfully respond as needed.
