Wyeth (NYSE:WYE) announced today that the jury in the cases of Melinda Hoyt v. Wyeth and DaLene Marlowe v. Wyeth in the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia found in favor of Wyeth. The verdict came at the close of the first phase, the damages phase, of this bifurcated (two-phase) trial. This completes the litigation in these cases.
(I-Newswire) - The trial began on February 15, 2005 before The Honorable Mark Bernstein. The plaintiffs alleged heart valve injury from the use of the diet drugs Pondimin and Redux, drugs once marketed by Wyeth.
