Merry X-Ray Named Sole U.S. Distributor for New KODAK Mammography CAD System
Eastman Kodak Company today announced an agreement under which Merry X-Ray Corporation will serve as exclusive U.S. distributor for Kodak’s new Mammography CAD System.
(I-Newswire) - Merry X-Ray ( MXR ) is a nationwide provider of service, products and systems that meet the unique medical imaging and service needs of healthcare facilities of all sizes. The Kodak Mammography CAD System is the first product for breast cancer detection from Kodak’s Health Group. Details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Kodak’s mammography CAD software uses sophisticated algorithms to identify suspicious areas on patients’ digitized mammograms so radiologists can closely examine these regions for possible disease during a second review. Clinical trial results submitted to the FDA document that 39.4 percent of missed breast cancers could have been detected 14.8 months earlier using KODAK CAD technology.
