Oracle Advanced Procurement is first and only integrated procurement suite certified by EU as eSender
Oracle is the first enterprise software provider to be certified by the European Union Publications Office to send electronic notices as part of the EU tendering process. The latest release of Oracle Sourcing, part of Oracle Advanced Procurement suite, is the first and only software to enable organisations to meet requirements fully for the EU tendering process according to EU Directives 92/50, 93/36, 93/37 and 97/52. Fittingly, Oracle Advanced Procurement carries the eSender identification number ID001.
(I-Newswire) - Oracle's certification follows the release last month of an EU action plan detailing why member governments should switch to electronic tendering before the 31 January 2006 deadline. The plan advises governments to change from paper to e-documents and says the spread of advanced procurement techniques can save governments "up to five per cent on expenditure and 50 to 80 per cent on transaction costs for buyers and suppliers".

With Oracle Advanced Procurement, organisations have on-line access to Common Procurement Vocabulary ( CPV ) codes for searching, which saves time and boosts accuracy.
Members of tender project teams can also work simultaneously on separate parts of the process and tender documents across organisations, regardless of their physical location. Oracle Advanced Procurement offers extensive audit and trace capabilities, including electronic signatures, self-registration of suppliers, secure and auditable electronic opening of tenders, reusability of all tender documents, real-time monitoring of all participants in the tendering process and full overview of all tender activities across the enterprise.
