Food professionals from around the world visited the “City of Light” for the three day gathering at Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre. At Fi Europe vendors, distributors and food manufacturers had the opportunity to see, smell, touch and taste the many products from over 1,000 exhibiting companies. At the show this year, Fortitech Europe focused on versatility and ingenuity with its latest premix samples:
Attendees sampled our enhanced calcium cappuccino shake featuring a custom premix that delivered a high level of calcium. This shake provided 50 percent of the daily recommended allowance of calcium and is complete with over 22 vitamins and minerals. This special form of calcium can be used in a wide array of drink or liquid food applications and is dispersible in neutral pH liquids, has no settling, chalky taste, gritty mouth feel or precipitation.
A truly unique concept was the vitamin C and calcium-fortified apples, conveniently sliced and individually-wrapped. This application is perfect for on-the-go snacking anytime or with children’s lunches. Because the added ascorbic acid inhibits the typical browning effect, these apple slices look and taste great, all the while providing key nutritional value to the consumer.
A perfect treat that parents can feel good about giving to their kids – fortified gummi bears. These chewy candies had a complete antioxidant profile including vitamins A, C and E, plus vitamins B12 and B6. Each bear also delivered biotin, folic acid and niacinamide and was available in a variety of colors and flavors.
People with milk allergies were encouraged to sample Fortitech’s bone-healthy soy beverage offering high levels of calcium and vitamin E. This beverage was also packed with vitamins D and A, and was available in apple, pear and peach flavors. This highly nutritious functional beverage offered an important source of protein and was naturally fat-free by utilizing isolated soy proteins.
