(I-Newswire) - A Southampton researcher is polling the South West’s business leaders on the impact of the recession on their web presence.
Murray Cowell said the online survey would show whether the economic downturn was changing attitudes to the web as a sales and marketing tool.
He added: “This is about testing the importance of a company’s online presence. The internet was practically non-existent when we were last in recession and I want to find out whether companies and other organisations see it as a tool they can use when the going gets tough this time round.”
Mr Cowell, Managing Partner of Belmont Internet Marketing, said the survey would deliver statistically robust data across a range of business sectors and results would be published early in 2009.
Belmont Internet Marketing provides design, hosting and consultancy services for the most basic websites right through to the complex development and management of eCommerce web pages.
The company’s aim is to enable customers to create and sustain a highly visible, intuitive and effective internet presence.
