Scottish creative agency Paligap wins four new big-hitting projects

Leading Ayrshire creative agency Paligap has won four major new projects, carrying out work for ScottishPower Renewables, the Scottish Crop Research Institute, NHS Scotland, and Cumnock Community College.

(I-Newswire) - Ayrshire, Scotland, Thursday 10 May 2007--Leading Ayrshire creative agency Paligap has won four major new projects, carrying out work for ScottishPower Renewables, the Scottish Crop Research Institute, NHS Scotland, and Cumnock Community College.

For ScottishPower Renewables, the Paligap team has produced an educational pack about wind farms aimed principally at schoolchildren and teachers visiting the Blacklaw Wind Farm.

Scottish Power were keen to make the content clear and concise and content architecture was imperative in order to keep the pack easy to use. The pack had to deliver learning in an intuitive, easy to use format and due to the amount of content required, Paligap decided on a bespoke ring-bound folder.

The result was a stunning educational pack that was extremely well received by Scottish Power Renewables.

Martin Mathers of ScottishPower Renewables said: “We are delighted with the team's work and the resulting design, which contributed greatly to the clarity and usability of the pack. We look forward to working with Paligap on future projects.”

Scottish Power have now awarded Paligap the contract to design and produce an educational DVD to complement the pack and to include a Flash-based interactive wind power conversion demonstration.

Paligap have also been commissioned to create a new website for the Scottish Crop Research Institute ( SCRI ).

SCRI is an internationally recognised research institute, based in Invergowrie, near Dundee. It is a world-class centre on plant and environmental sciences, producing high quality research on agriculture, the environment, sustainability and food quality. Their research contributes to UK and EU policy on agriculture and the environment.

Paligap will design a clean, uncomplicated interface and an intuitive navigation. The website will be accessible to search engines, meet accessibility standards and cross-browser compatible to insure the website is accessible to all users, whether using a browser, a screen reader, a web-enabled mobile phone or any other device.

The website will act as an attractive information source for SCRI’s many target audiences, which include Government bodies, the media, scientists, school children, environmental groups, farmers, walkers, gardeners, photographers and naturalists.

Paligap has also won the project to produce two educational DVD’s for NHS Scotland to help facilitate the use of hearing aids by patients with cochlear implants. The first DVD is aimed at children who have had cochlear implants and the second DVD is intended to assist classroom teachers in the use of hearing aids recommended by the NHS for use with cochlear implant patients.

And finally, in a three-way pitch, the creative team won the project to produce the branding and new corporate identity to relaunch Ayr College East as the Cumnock Community College.

Founded in 1999, Paligap has become one of Scotland’s premier full service marketing and creative agencies.

Paligap handle all elements of the communications mix covering branding, press, radio, TV and outdoor advertising, public relations and direct marketing, internet and print..

Paligap account director Graeme Niven said: “Our sole reason for existence is to boost our clients' business.

“Our proven track record has ensured that the agency has built up an impressive client list, which includes numerous organisations of all sizes and from every sector.”
