Popular Electronics Tester and LCR-meter Makes Its Way to Foreign Markets In Over 27 Countries

Siborg Systems Inc. launches Smart Tweezers into over 27 countries on 5 continents with help from new distributors, as well as launching new websites, establishing a calibration facility for European users, and begins development on new model.

Waterloo (I-Newswire) February 22, 2013 - Siborg Systems’ Smart Tweezers are the simple solution to testing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining PCBs with Surface Mount Technology. Surface Mount Technology is the leading manufacturing method for electronics, the components used are very small and may or may not be labelled due to size. Without labels, these component values are easily lost. With just a touch of the tips to a component, Smart Tweezers automatically identifies the type of component and measures Inductance, Resistance and Capacitance accordingly. With a basic accuracy of 0.2%, Smart Tweezers features; automatic LCR and Equivalent Series Ressitance, didoe and continuity testing, adjustable test signals, component sorting with variable tolerances, component sorting, offset subtract, and a slew of other features that make testing and evaluating electronics simpler.

Siborg has gained new distributors that have brought the device into worldwide markets are; SIBBIS International (USA), Advance Tech Services (India), KT International (Indonesia), Dipaul (Russia), Bokar International (USA), Production Solutions (Poland), CF System Technology (Malaysia), Van Device (Japan), GoldTek (China), PrinTec (Netherlands), Newly-Tsuchiyama (Japan). These new distributors are offering Smart Tweezers with their lines of products for reworking, repairing, maintaining and manufacturing electronics. They agree that Smart Tweezers is an essential tool for surface mount technology.

"In all electronic production lines, Smart Tweezers LCR-meter comes in handy perfectly complementing powerful but sometimes hard to use bench-type electronic test equipment. Smart Tweezers LCR-meter is an extremely useful tool, allowing to verify results of optical inspection," says Jason Yeh , Sales Manager at GoldTek Co. Ltd. [www.goldtek.com.cn] in Suzhou, China.

"By the nature of our business we are in direct contact with many Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturers and designers of new electronic products," says Yoshitaka Sato , Director at Van Device Ltd. [www.vandevice.co.jp] "They all value Smart Tweezers, the ultimate LCR-meter for Surface Mount Technology (SMT). Light-weight, ease-of-use and accuracy make Smart Tweezers an indispensable tool for PCB debugging and testing as well as component characterization."

Following the release of Smart Tweezers into so many new markets, Siborg has launched multiple websites for users based on their location, ie: USA [http://www.smarttweezers.us], China [http://www.smarttweezers.tw], Canada [http://www.smarttweezers.ca], India [http://www.smarttweezers.in], etc. The websites offers a video introduction and user tips to enhance the user experience. Siborg also released the Smart Tweezers Blog [http://www.smarttwezers.us/blog] which features all the latest news.

For European companies, Siborg, Bokar International and Production Solutions have established the first calibration facility in Poland. Production Solutions and Bokar have worked together for years, and their central location provides users a more convenient location to send their devices for annual calibration. Previously there were only 3 of these facilities worldwide, in Ontario, Canada, Pasadena, California and New Delhi, India. Customers that didn't want to send their devices abroad had to resort to a third party method of calibration, this method does not actually change the calibration coefficients on the device, but proves the devices accuracy with a comparison of measurement values with those of “standard components”. This method, as widely used as it is, does not guarantee that Smart Tweezers is working at its best. The opening of the calibration facility in Poland allows European users a cheaper and less timely solution to calibrate their devices.

For the future of Smart Tweezers, Siborg Systems and the Institute of Electrometry and Automation at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk, Russia have begun development of a new model. The new Smart Tweezers will still feature accurate, automatic LCR measurements and all the other features on the popular device, but will feature a lower manufacturing cost.
