Planetsky to provide broadband services to Greek army in Afghanistan

(I-Newswire) November 27, 2009 - Cyprus based Planetsky Ltd, in collaboration with their Greek business partner Epikinonia, is selected by the Greek government to provide Afghanistan based troops with broadband data and voice services.

Under the agreement, Planetsky has rolled out an iDirect shared service platform for 2-way satellite services, bringing high end communications capability to Greek army bases and personnel worldwide. The complete VelocitySAT™ package, including installation and provisioning of remote site equipment, enables delivery of high speed data, voice and video applications. The solution is engineered to allow rapid deployment while supplying high quality service and reliability in harsh environments.
