The Utah-based security company donates $4,000 security system to be auctioned in a benefit for child suffering with Spina Bifida.
Actor Corbin Allred is known for a variety of television and film roles dating back to the early 1990s. But these days the star of the new "Saints and Soldiers: Airborne Creed" film also has family matters on his mind. He and his wife McKenzie were blessed with a daughter, Lily, just a few months ago. Unfortunately, Lily was born with Spina Bifida; a birth defect involving the spinal cord and vertebrae. After learning of the family's needs Pinnacle Security was more than happy to contribute to a silent auction held to benefit young Lily at the world premiere of Allred's new film.
The donation is in keeping with Pinnacle's ongoing efforts to contribute to local communities. In 2010 the company established the Securing Hope project as a means of helping those in need, both at home and abroad. The Allred family is a perfect example of the mission of Securing Hope and how it can help to meet specific needs in local communities. Upon hearing of Lily's story while preparing for a corporate appreciation event the Pinnacle team quickly sprang into action and arranged the donation of a $4000 security system.
"Our people were pleased to have the opportunity to contribute and help this little girl and we all hope this donation will ease the way for the Allred family as they enjoy their beautiful new daughter," said Pinnacle Vice President of Corporate Communications Stuart Dean.
On August 16, 2012 Pinnacle brought together various donations through Securing Hope and held the silent auction as part of their corporate appreciation event. The event also featured a pre-market screening of "Saints and Soldiers: Airborne Creed." The film opened nationwide the following day to good reviews.
As for Securing Hope, the project has been involved in other notable efforts including helping to build a new hospital in Kenya, providing relief efforts and cleanup crews after tornadoes ripped through St. Louis in 2011, and helping to build housing in Belize that will withstand hurricanes and other severe storms. Securing Hope often works in concert with other organizations like the United Way.
