PIE (Projects In Education) Story Theatre, long known for bringing innovative and interactive family theatre programming to thousands of children and families in schools, libraries, parks and hospitals has just released a CD entitled: PIE Story Theatre Holiday Stories and Carols. The majority of the work on this CD was first presented live at Chicago's renowned North Pier Festival Market (where PIE was in residence) and has since been seen in venues across the New York Tri-State area.

Founder and professional writer and actor, Patrick Riviere has produced a joyous, imaginative and interactive CD that features a ten-minute version of A Christmas Carol, titled Old Mr. Scrooge, a story about the traditions of Kwanzaa, The Hanukkah Candles and The Armadillo's Feliz Navidad! There are also a host of classics including The Elves and The Shoemaker and The Dwarf and The Cobbler's Sons. Also included are classic carols and an interactive story which includes a warm-up! "We believe this CD will be a wonderful gift for children but also an amazing tool for teachers and arts educators looking to bring the spirit of the holidays into the classroom," Riviere mentioned.

The CD is now featured on CD Baby and will also be available on iTunes and Amazon. "It has been a labor of love and we are just happy to finally share it with everyone," said professional director and actor Michael Menger. Besides Riviere and Menger, two-time Drama Critic Award Winner Kellie Johnson is featured on the CD as well as the talents of Melissa Center and Babs Smith.

PIE was created in the early 90's as the education arm of The Emerging Artists Project, Inc. Since that time it has become the educational initiative for All Seasons Theatre Company and was promoted and supported by the highly acclaimed Arts Horizons Organization. Sesame Street veteran Bob McGrath has supported the vision of PIE joining the Advisory Board of ASTC and receiving the Children and Art Award on behalf of PIE.

PIE will continue to create and present programming for children of all ages and hopes to always make art fun and accessible.
