E. Setauket, NY (I-Newswire) January 23, 2013 - PENETRON International has been successfully certified for the ISO 14001 environmental standards in a third-party audit of its facilities, including the company’s product development center and production plant in Allentown, PA (USA).

ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized standard that emphasizes the continuous improvement of an environmental management system (EMS). More specifically, the ISO 14001 standards deal with the management of production processes, general operations procedures and product performance. Similar to ISO 9000 quality management, ISO 14001 focuses on the process of how a product is produced and used, rather than just the product itself. Ultimately, organizations that are ISO 14001-certified are committed to reducing the effect of their business operations on the environment.
