Concern India Foundation is delighted to present, Pause for a Cause “Summer Silhouettes” an exhibition cum sale of traditional & contemporary textiles, clothing, jewellery & accessories. The exhibition will be held from 18th to 19th March, from 10.30 a.m to 7 p.m at Coomaraswamy Hall at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (formerly Prince of Wales Museum), Fort, Mumbai.

The exhibition will feature works like kalamkaari, block print , telia roomal , chikankari, chanderi , phulkaari, mulls, kantha, tussores, accessories & jewellery,. Participating in Pause for a Cause are many upcoming designers such as Anuradha Raman (Delhi) harmonious blends of weaves-the telia roomal, handblock prints & flawless embroidery in hand woven saris and stoles , Desire (Bhuj) colours and embroidery of Kutch Bhuj goontha material with handwork ,traditional kurtas etc, Manju’s Collection (Kolkata) cotton salwar kurtas , tunics and organzaa saris, Vishal Kapoor (Delhi) experimental layouts on fine cotton, block printed embellished with zardosi & aari embroidery soft shimmering textileswith patterns created in weaving, fine mulls , inlay patterning on dupattas in rich weaves, Weavers ethnic (Kullu) kantha on saris and stoles.

Concern India Foundation, a charitable trust organizes various fund raising events, one of which is Pause for a Cause. The funds raised will go towards fulfilling our commitment of ‘Helping People Help Themselves’ towards the grass roots level programs which we support.
