Passing CBCCT and CBNC Exams Can Earn Points for ABIM MOC

Online, October 13, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The Council of Certification in Cardiovascular Imaging (CCCVI) announces that the certification and re-certification examinations of the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CBCCT) and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC) have been accepted by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) for Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points. The exams count as activities under ABIM's Self- Evaluation of Medical Knowledge requirement. Twenty (20) points will be awarded by American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) upon passing one of the exams.

The recognition runs from September 19, 2013 through December 31, 2015. ABIM board-certified individuals, who pass the CBNC exams in December, 2013 and who are enrolled in ABIM's MOC program, will receive 20 Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points from ABIM. Future exam administrations may also offer this opportunity.
