Parathyroid.com Announces The Translation Into Spanish Of Its Award-Winning Parathyroid-Disease Web Portal

Tampa, FL (I-Newswire) May 16, 2011 - The Norman Parathyroid Center released the Spanish translation of its award-winning endocrinology web site parathyroid.com today at www.parathyroid.com/paratiroide. The Spanish version is the first of several foreign language translations to be launched in the coming year.

The English version of parathyroid.com was launched in 1996 and has become the world’s most referenced source of information regarding parathyroid disease, hyperparathyroidism, and parathyroid surgery. Consisting of over 450 printed pages, including over 300 proprietary images and graphics, parathyroid.com has over 50,000 unique visitors per month with new resources and information added several times per week.

The Spanish translation has been overseen by Dr. Jose Lopez, the newest surgeon on staff at the Norman Parathyroid Center. “The translation of this fantastic source of educational materials into my native tongue was my number one priority when I joined the Parathyroid Center last year” stated Dr Lopez. “I couldn’t be more pleased with the way it has turned out.”

Additional language translations are in the final stages of planning. “We are looking forward to publishing several other languages and are actively seeking partners in this endeavor” stated Dr. Norman. “We are willing to give credit and substantial exposure to a hospital or endocrinology center within Europe and within Asia should they participate in the translation process.”
