The 2013 Ford Edge with EcoBoost technology is EPA rated to get an impressive 30 miles to the gallon on the highway, 21 mpg in the city. This is the 13th model from Ford to offer an economical 30 mph or more. Edge’s new EcoBoost 2.0-liter 4 cylinder powertrain combines direct injection gasoline and turbocharging to achieve the power of a V6 with the fuel economy of a 4-cylinder.

The goal of EcoBoost is to provide an engine has the fuel economy that drivers need, without sacrificing the power that drivers want. EcoBoost under the hood ensures that the 2013 Edge puts out 240 horsepower with 270 lbs-feet of torque, all while delivering 30 mpg on the highway. In 2013, Ford plans to provide EcoBoost on 90 percent of its vehicles.
