Phoenix, AZ (I-Newswire) August 13, 2011 - OSAM Document Solutions Inc., announces a new release of the OnBase® enterprise document management solution. The upgraded software incorporates numerous and significant enhancements in imaging and capture, software and hardware integration, mobile device compatibility and application development.

OnBase is an integrated suite of ECM software applications that capture, process, distribute and manage content from core business operations. Examples of enterprise content include paper and electronic documents, statements and reports, application files and e-mail correspondence. OnBase customers can install the software on premise, access it as a hosted service over the Internet, or combine delivery methods for a customized solution.

Specific capabilities in this new software release include:

• Imaging and Capture. The upgrade expands core functionality with intelligent indexing and automated redaction. For example, enhanced capabilities optimize document management for invoices, college transcripts and healthcare explanation of benefits (EOBs).

• Software and Hardware Integration. In addition to the existing SAP integration, the OnBase upgrade offers new data-level integrations with Lawson, PeopleSoft and Datatel. OnBase also integrates now with MicroSoft Outlook so users can perform workflow tasks directly in that application. The new release includes deeper integration with fax providers as well, including Softlinx's Replifax, Esker's Esker Fax and Biscom's Faxcom.

• Mobile Device Compatibility. With the increased dependence on technology to work outside the enterprise, the new OnBase release extends mobility to hand-held devices and tablets, including the Blackberry, Windows Phone, iPhone, iPad and others.

• Application Development Platform. The upgrade offers a solid platform for creating dynamic applications. For example, a new application allows businesses to create and customize forms that don’t require custom coding skills.
