Organize and Discover - Unioncy.com Launches for the Public

Unioncy, the web platform that helps people to organize personal belongings and discover new products, is officially launching today.

London (I-Newswire) March 6, 2013 - Unioncy, the web platform that helps people to organize personal belongings and discover new products, is officially launching today. It is now open and free to users, and comes with a broad set of features to help you organize, value, trade, and easily learn about products you follow.

Addressing all the unused items at home, worth an estimated £90bn in the UK alone, the platform seeks to help people around the world to reduce clutter, realize the value of items they no longer use and keep track of their items. Unioncy offers a real opportunity for fun and easy de-cluttering. The upward shoot of the London-Sofia based start-up reflects the growing popularity of the “smarter purchases” trend and lays the foundations for a broader adoption of the Internet of Things.

During the private beta, the platform attracted over 1,000 users from 17 countries. Users can, free of charge, register for membership and easily start organizing their items, find the value, and discover new “wants” from over 80mn products. Members of the Unioncy community can also actively contribute on the Unioncy.com Discover Boards, online mood boards where users share and comment on “neat ideas” and other design inspirations, and on the Unioncy Blog.

Pre-Unioncy.com, organization of personal belongings used to be a daunting and time-consuming activity often leading to unclear results. The Unioncy.com website is a powerful tool: a platform providing an easy overview of one’s cataloged items, one-click buy and sale options and a great community of passionate people. Indeed, users are the central driving force, actively supporting and helping Unioncy.com on its way to become the much-needed crossroad between personal inventory and product discovery.

Unioncy.com started as a project in October 2012 by Deyan Dimitrov (formerly at Rocket Internet, Philips and Ericsson) and Victor Bodin (formerly of Rocket Internet and JPMorgan). To date the team received a seed investment from Eleven Accelerator Venture Fund as well as attracted the interest of a number of early-stage investors.

Co-founder Victor Bodin said: “We’re truly delighted by the interest and the passion of people using Unioncy.com. For us, the best part is to see Unioncy.com inspire people and trigger trends towards smarter and more efficient uses of their items. We are very thankful for the feedback from our early users and we have implemented and improved the features they are so enthusiastic about. We’re committed to improving it day after day.”

The Unioncy.com team is on a mission to clear your clutter and make your everyday life easier!
