(I-Newswire) April 29, 2010 - It's been claimed that Orange Broadband has pretty much handed over management of its fixed line broadband ISP network to BT in the hope that the level of quality and stability of the operations offered to brand new as well as current broadband clients is going to be better. Essentially this is a kind of outsourcing that is designed to permit Orange Broadband to give attention to customer service and maximizing client numbers while shifting the technical area to BT.

Orange presently has a close working relationship with British Telecom in other aspects of its business, while using BT national infrastructure for connecting services to those outside of its 65% UK customer base coverage. We are very likely to notice an increasing number of outsourcing of network services as UK broadband suppliers, or at least those not willing to invest tremendous sums of money in the long term, look to concentrate on customer numbers as well as customer service.

In an official media statement Orange Broadband has held responsible too little investment in the united kingdom telephone national infrastructure as a reason for the transfer of this particular area of the business to BT. Whether or not this may change in the short to medium term with introduction of the UK’s superfast broadband network remains to be seen.
