Oquendo Center Offers CE Course For Veterinary Professionals

The Oquendo Center is at the forefront of veterinary continuing education. By creating a permanent and dedicated facility for continuing education and in depth clinical training the Oquendo Center has defined itself as the leading facility for veterinarians to enhance their skills in a venue created by veterinarians, for veterinarians. The next course offered by the industry leading Oquendo Center is the upcoming Advanced Abdominal Ultrasound course which will be held October 5th – October 6th, 2012.
The Advanced Abdominal Ultrasound is designed to give veterinarians a hands on and lecture guided overview of small animal abdominal ultrasonography. The course will consist of four hours of lectures that will center around the topic of advanced ultrasound techniques including Doppler, portosystemic shunt evaluations and non-abdominal imaging such as cervical, ocular and non-cardiac thoracic examinations. Time will be split between learning about the abdominal anatomy and diseases of cats and dogs through case examples given over four hours. Three board certified radiologists will attend every laboratory session to insure qualified hands-on guidance for each course attendant.
The Advanced Abdominal Ultrasound course is designed for veterinary professionals who have already completed basic ultrasound courses and practice ultrasounds at least 1-2 days per week. This professional course is currently pending RACE approval for 16 hours of continuing education. Attendees are who select the all-inclusive registration package will receive lodging at the Hampton Inn, McCarran International Airport, shuttle services, and complimentary ground transportation to and from the hotel and Oquendo Center.
