San Francisco (I-Newswire) September 14, 2011 - Opentape.com is a free website that allows people from all over the world to collaborate and share original music compositions to create new songs. Every user can start a new project uploading a music file with his idea for a new song (for eg. a guitar line, a drum beat or a vocal part). The other users can download it, play with it, write their part and upload a new file adding their track.

Before decide to participate to a project you can “taste it” using an online multi-track player that allows you to mix the tracks yet uploaded by other users and listen if it sounds good for your style.

Using the music project tools you can easily manage your tracks, modify your previous uploaded tracks and communicate with other users to give or ask them suggestion on how to create the new song.

At the end of the project, the tracks are mixed to create a brand new and unpredictable song, available to listen for everybody on Opentape and on the main digital music channels (for eg. Soundclud, Youtube, etc.).

You keep in your profile all the songs and the projects you've participated so that every other user can get a proof of your style. In this way you can either show your performing and creativity skills and also listen to other musicians’ contributions in order to find the right people to invite to participate to your projects.

On Opentape you can experience creative collaboration with musicians from the other side of the world, but you can also use the search engine and the map to find musicians in the neighbourhoods, listen to their music and invite them to join your band.
