Open Weekend Kempinski 10th Anniversary Celebration With Opening Of “La Caverna” 3rd - 5th February 2012

San Lawrenz (I-Newswire) January 21, 2012 - Thankful to all its Maltese and Gozitan patrons for the successes of the past years, the Kempinski management team is organizing this open weekend to celebrate the 10th anniversary from when the Hotel joined the luxurious Kempinski portfolio where all our guests and friends can have a closer look to the hotel. Since then the Hotel has been established as Malta’s leading spa resort, in the middle of the enchanting Gozitan landscape.

During these years, the Kempinski management saw the extension and re-branding of the existing Spa into The Quintessence Spa, with unique and exclusive products, as well as the introduction of the first, fully fledged, award winning Ayurveda Centre in the Mediterranean.

On the mentioned weekend, 3rd to 5th February 2012 the whole team of Kempinski is happy to invite everybody to meet Kempinski and make their own Kempinski experience.

On these three days guests can enjoy a romantic dinner in the fine dining L’Ortolan Restaurant, with the launching of a brand new menu, indulge in a Sunday Family buffet lunch or get pampered with a Spa treatment, whilst benefiting from a 25% discount on all spa, food and beverage consumed through the whole weekend. Those wishing to further their Kempinski experience with an overnight stay in one of the elegantly decorated rooms and suites can benefit from discounted rates at 40%.

This occasion will now see the opening of a new wine bar concept – La Caverna – where the name reflects the story of “The Cave of the Old Man” dating back to 1583 found in Mgarr ix-Xini in Gozo which established the links of Gozo to a culture and history of wines. For a long time the story was just a century old legend until a couple of years ago the excavations showed many wine and oil presses in the valley, with similar wine presses found in Italy. The new wine bar revolves around the world of wines where our guests can just relax in the cosy ambience of an Italian style enoteca sipping through an extensive wine list presenting 300 different types of wines.

The weekend will get started with La Caverna’s public ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, 3rd February 2012 between 19:00 and 19.30 with a wine reception hosted by the Hotel, followed with live music entertainment in our restaurants and bars.

Saturday and Sunday is about meeting the Kempinski staff, lifestyle and facilities.
People may sign up on journeys through the Hotel’s premises including suites, residences, SPA and own garden.

Special Career Corner will offer the opportunity to have non-binding conversations with the People Services colleagues.

Special Kids Club programs with face painting, bouncy castle and pony carriage ride. During the weekend exciting activities for the adults as well, like free yoga sessions, try-out kayaking in the pool, archery in garden, wine tasting and craft workshops.

The highlight of Saturday will be the 10th anniversary cake cutting ceremony with Prosecco reception and live music in the Hotel Lobby hosted by the General Manager, Mr. Noel Attard between 18.30 and 19.00.

For the ones who do not want to miss the Maltese Final for the Eurovision Song Contest, Il-Baldakkin Café & Lounge will show the event from 20:00 onwards. Try a new location for Saturday evening get-togethers and benefit from the open weekend discount.

The weekend’s perfect closure could be the Sunday Buffet Lunch in the Ortolan restaurant, a wide range of delicious Maltese and International items.
