On-Page FAQ Videos To Inform Customers About Treated Wood And Timber Products
American Pole and Timber has officially launched their "video FAQ's" throughout their website to provide quick, straightforward answers to the most common questions they receive.
Online, June 2, 2014 (Newswire.com) - American Pole and Timber has officially launched their "video FAQ's" throughout their website to provide quick, straightforward answers to the most common questions they receive about the treated wood and structural timber products they supply. They use the videos to address a few of the more technical questions they receive as well.
Instead of placing all the videos on an "FAQ" page where visitors will have to go and search or scroll to find their questions, they placed the videos on pages throughout their website next to the services and products they are relevant to. William Plant, Chairman of American Pole and Timber commented, "Our mission has always been to 'consult, inform, and supply'. The videos represent another way we inform our visitors, prospects, and clients. When people have more specific questions about their projects or what materials might be best, our Project Consultants are here to answer their questions and share ideas."
The FAQ videos completed so far answer questions such as, "What wood options do I have for timber trusses?" and "What is a wood check?" Many of the videos might seem to cover topics too simple to bother with but American Pole and Timber's Sales Manager, Eric Lincoln, explains, "We wanted to include real questions people ask - and definitely questions they might be afraid to ask. A lot of these questions are already answered elsewhere in the website - it's a very informative site -- but of course we don't expect people to read the whole thing."
The videos are produced by their marketing department who insists on getting thoughtful, but off-the-cuff, answers from the Project Consultants. Content is more important than production value. There are now approximately 30 FAQ videos throughout the website and on their YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/buildingproductsplus/videos. However, they already have more in the editing process and more planned for the future as well.
