OchoCinco and Hoopz Invade Tat City in Urban Ink.

Leading the mission is Cincinnati Bengals’ All Pro wide receiver, Chad OchoCinco, whose sure hands, elusive quickness and raw attitude made him the perfect choice for this issue’s cover feature. Joining Agent OchoCinco on the cover is model and Reality TV star Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander. There was a lot of pre-release buzz surrounding the OchoCinco/Hoopz cover, as an early mock-up of the cover shot leaked onto multiple hip-hop websites, as well as the political news source, The Huffington Post. Unfortunately for all of them, the intelligence was wrong and Urban Ink went with a different shot for the cover, proving that it’s never over until it goes to press, media friends.

Joining OchoCinco and Hoopz in the pages of Urban Ink is hip-hop star Birdman in a Bourbon Street pictorial that pits the free agent rapper with two sexy female accomplices. Also on the roster is another football superstar wide receiver: Denver Broncos’ Brandon Marshall. Willing to do anything for the winning cause, Marshall talks about being misunderstood and addresses the issue of playing hurt in the NFL.

Highly trained and skilled ink slingers were handpicked to show the world what they’re made of; one notable artist, the king of Brooklyn, Kaves of the Lordz of Brooklyn, showed off his pioneer Brooklyn-style ink work—his M.O. to create outlaw art and represent his hometown. Nomadic artist, Lalo, illustrates the various styles and skills he has picked up during his trips around the world as a traveling tattoo artist.

As always, Urban Ink didn’t shy away from showing skin of marked-up beauties to pique the visual “reader.” Particularly, provocative pin-up model and tat artist, Kreepy Lourdes, exudes the sexy, especially when she wields her ink-dripping gun.
