Ocean Grove Named In Fodor's Top 15 Best Beaches

Fodor's, one of the world's largest publisher of travel and tourism information, posted their annual list of the 15 best beaches in the world for 2014. Included on that coveted list is our very own Ocean Grove!

Fodors, the worlds largest publisher of English language travel and tourism information, posted their annual list of the 15 best beaches in the world for 2014. Included on that coveted list along with internationally famous beaches such as Rio de Janeiro, San Diego, and Corsica, France, was our beautiful little town of Ocean Grove.

Fodor's is a go-to resource guide for travelers who rely on the guide's expertise in choosing travel locations, dining, hotels and culture recommendations as well as features and articles that convey the essence of each destination. In addition to their worldwide team of over 700 travel writers, they also hire local writers who know their destination better than anyone else.

Obviously Super Storm Sandy brought a lot of media attention to the Jersey Shore, but it is nice to finally see some positive attention as opposed to all of the pictures of devastation that kept tourists away last year. Fodor's introduction to their list cites how travelers are all looking for different features for their beach vacation. The article goes on to say "no matter what your definition of the perfect beach vacation, you're sure to find inspiration on our list of the 15 best beaches…".

The writers did a good job of capturing the true essence of Ocean Grove in their description of the town. It is painted as a great beach location for families, with Victorian architecture, a boardwalk, a cute downtown district and pristine beaches that offer up a lot of fun activites in the summer such as kite-flying contests, volleyball games, and boogey board races.

First the Jersey Shore was named in Lonely Planet's top 10 U.S. Travel Destinations for 2014, and now Ocean Grove in Fodor's 15 best beaches for 2014. With all of this notable press it should be a great summer for Ocean Grove and the Jersey Shore. Hopefully the weather will cooperate as well!
